Position: Stainless Steel Welder - Shop Fabrication

Schedule: 50+ hours per week

Loenbro is seeking experienced single-hand shop welders for a long-term stainless prefab piping project. The role involves planning, layout, welding, installation, testing, and repair of process piping and related tubular products in accordance with plans, specifications, welding codes, and industry standards.

• Supervise and train welder helpers.
• Examine and inspect working conditions; identify problems, inaccuracies, and cost-saving measures; take corrective actions as needed.
• Choose filler metals and construction materials to complete assignments.
• Produce quality work that meets the requirements of plans, specifications, and industry standards.
• Work productively and safely.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

• Prior welding experience in construction, mining, or related industry; preference for a two-year vocational‑technical degree.
• Working knowledge of welding codes and specifications.
• Familiarity with metal machining properties, weld shrinkage, and welding techniques.
• Use of RMD (Regulated Metal Deposition) welding process.
• Ability to work in outdoor construction‑site conditions (rain, sleet, snow, dust, mud, heat, cold, noise).
• Ability to work irregular hours, weekends, holidays, and up to a 12‑hour shift.
• Physical requirements:
  
  lift up to 50 pounds; climb and maintain balance on formwork, steel framework, stairs, ladders, and scaffolds; move in confined, cluttered, or uneven areas; stand, walk, sit, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl regularly.
• Valid driver’s license and proof of insurability if driving is required; subject to DMV background check.
