Job Description:

This position is working on a heavy industrial construction worksite. The Journeyman will work with the job supervisor to complete projects under contract. A successful candidate will be able to collaborate with a team of professionals to complete these projects within the projected deadline and under budget.

Job Duties:

* Constructing, fabricating, installing and dismantling form work of fixtures of metal, wood, and other accessories, rod-busting and concrete finishing.

* Ability to read and interpret instructions.

* Document, plan, and perform work activities independently.

* Read and interpret blueprints.

* Perform all other job duties as assigned.

Skills/

Qualifications:

* 2 years of form setting, rod-busting and concrete finishing experience in an industrial construction setting

* Extensive knowledge of industrial construction practices, procedures, techniques, tools and equipment, materials, specifications, quality control, cost control, and adherence to applicable building codes and must be proficient at reading blueprints.

* Must be able to clearly explain steps and provide clear directions.

* Must be able to complete and complete the paperwork required for purchase orders, time sheets, etc. and answer questions about the construction processes for field staff and other subcontractors.

* Must be willing to embrace the company's core values.

* Must be able to pass pre-employment drug and alcohol screening.

* Must be 18 years of age or older.

Potential Hazards:

* Outside most of the time.

* Potential exposure to extreme cold and hot temperatures.

* Manufacturing, pipeline, and refining environment.

* Fit and move in confined spaces including tanks and vessels.

* Limited working surfaces.

* The use of X-ray machines.

* Exposure to noise above 85 decibels and intense odors.

* Exposure to areas with limited visibility.

Essential Requirements:

* Climbing up and down stairs and ladders to both get in and out of trenches and up to elevated platforms (scaffolding at significant heights)

* Lifting necessary equipment and materials 1-50 pounds, 50% of the time monthly for required tasks

* Potential or Periodic amounts of time for the following:

* Walking on uneven terrain, with an average of two miles per day

* Standing

* Sit, stoop, crawl, and kneel.

* Use of respirator if position requires.

* Driving if required to travel.

* If driving is required, a valid driver's license and proof of insurability are required. All drivers are subject to a DMV background records search.
