HVAC Service Technician

Job Description

Some of the day-to-day activities and responsibilities include:

• Utilizing great internal and external customer communication
• Implementing problem solving, organizing, and preparedness skills
• Interpret blueprints, schematics, manuals and other specifications to determine service, repair, and preventative maintenance procedures
• Explain and provide detailed system capabilities and operational instructions to customers
• Ensure on-time arrival to daily customer appointments, check-in & check-out procedures
• Place a high value on quality of workmanship, attention to detail and safe work practices for self and team
• Occasional availability for after hours, weekend, and holiday service response
• Travel as necessary that may require overnight stays (not typical)

Qualifications

• Current valid driver's license and clean driving record
• Submit to a criminal history check and obtain clearance from the state based on the state requirements
• Place a high value on quality of workmanship, attention to detail and safe work practices for self and others
• Superior customer service skills
• High sense of personal accountability
• EPA 608 refrigerant license
• Proficient computer skills, including MS Office, email and networking
• Self-motivated
• Knowledge of HVAC Equipment, with a minimum of 5 years’ experience
• Strong ability to diagnose equipment and determine if repair and maintenance work is needed or not; and ability to keep records of work done, etc.
• Experience and troubleshooting skills with BMS systems is a plus

Physical Requirements

• o Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• o Sitting, bending, and kneeling
• o Occasional work in confined spaces (crawl spaces & attic spaces)
• o Ability to climb ladders and perform job duties at required heights
