We are recruiting on behalf of a forward-thinking main contractor operating across both the private and public sectors, with exciting and ambitious plans for continued growth. Due to a strong pipeline of major projects, they are looking to appoint an experienced Project Manager to take responsibility for the delivery of large-scale construction projects.
This role offers the opportunity to manage complex schemes from pre-construction through to completion, working closely with commercial, design and site teams to ensure successful outcomes.
The Role
As Project Manager, you will have overall responsibility for the planning, coordination and delivery of major construction projects, ensuring they are completed safely, on programme, within budget and to the required quality standards.
Key responsibilities include:
* Managing major construction projects across private and public sectors
* Leading site management teams and coordinating subcontractors
* Overseeing project programmes, procurement and delivery strategies
* Acting as the main point of contact for clients and consultants
* Ensuring compliance with health & safety, quality and environmental standards
* Working closely with commercial teams on cost control, variations and risk management
* Managing project risks, change control and reporting
* Reporting progress and performance to senior management
About You
* Proven experience as a Project Manager within main contracting
* Strong background delivering large or complex construction projects
* Experience working across public and private sector projects or frameworks
* Solid understanding of construction contracts, programming and commercial management
* Strong leadership and communication skills
* SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid qualifications (essential)
