DevOps Engineer

We're exclusively supporting a growing technology consultancy that delivers complex engineering and cyber programmes across Defence and National Security.

As demand for their services continues to grow, they're looking to recruit a Dev Ops Engineer to help build, automate and optimise the platforms that underpin mission‑critical technology programmes.

Due to the nature of the work, you'll need to either have current or be eligible for the highest levels of UK Security Clearance.

A hands‑on Dev Ops role focused on automation, cloud infrastructure and modern engineering practices, working alongside experienced engineers on secure, high‑impact technology programmes.

You'll be given real ownership, exposure to modern tooling and the opportunity to develop your skills within an environment that actively invests in career progression.

• Building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation
• Supporting cloud and on‑premise infrastructure
• Developing automation scripts and tooling using Python (or similar)
• Managing infrastructure as code and configuration management
• Improving platform reliability, monitoring and release processes
• Collaborating with software engineers and technical teams to deliver secure, scalable platforms
• Producing clear technical documentation and contributing to engineering best practice

• Around 2+ years' commercial Dev Ops experience
• Experience with CI/CD and Dev Ops best practices
• Python or similar scripting experience
• Knowledge of cloud platforms and modern infrastructure
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach
• A passion for automation and continuous improvement

• Git Ops tools such as ArgoCD or Flux
• Prometheus, Grafana, Loki or ELK
• Site Reliability Engineering (SLIs/SLOs)
• Dev Sec Ops  or security automation
• Event‑driven architectures and messaging platforms
