CNC Turner Job Description
We are seeking an experienced CNC Turner to join our client's thriving manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating various CNC machines, including Victor and Doosan models with Fanuc controls, to produce high-quality parts.
Your duties will include setting up fixtures, achieving drawing and stage operation standards, following process and tooling sheets, and selecting the appropriate tools for each component.
Key Responsibilities- Operate CNC machines to manufacture parts, ensuring planned production times are met or improved.
- Adhere to quality standards and use measurement instruments to check work.
- Deburr parts to the required standard using deburring tools.
- Maintain route cards and communicate any issues or deviations from the plan.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.
- Ensure the correct materials, route cards, and drawings are used for each job.
- Set up tools and offsets ready for operations to commence, and assist other operators as needed.
- Maintain on‑time, in‑full (OTIF) delivery of parts to the required schedule.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a machining or manufacturing environment.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work as part of a team and communicate effectively.
- Desirable:
Previous experience in the aerospace industry.
- Competitive pay rate; £14.50 - £17.95ph with overtime pay at time and a half.
- 37hrs per week, Mon‑Thur 7.30am-4.00pm and Fri 7.30am-12.30pm.
