Elementary School General Studies Teacher Magen Ephraim Sephardic Academy

Magen Ephraim Sephardic Academy (MESA) is hiring a passionate, student-centered Elementary General Studies Teacher for the 2026–2027 school year. This is a full-time, in-person position at our private Sephardic elementary school in Great Neck, NY — a warm, mission-driven community where educators are empowered to do their best work.

• Deliver differentiated, standards-aligned instruction in ELA, Math, and Social Studies

• Design engaging, inquiry-based lessons that develop critical thinkers and curious learners

• Use data-driven strategies to personalize learning and meet the needs of every student

• Integrate educational technology to enhance engagement and 21st-century skill-building

• Cultivate an inclusive, culturally responsive classroom rooted in empathy and respect

• Collaborate with colleagues in a supportive professional learning community

• Support the social-emotional development of students alongside academic growth

• Bachelor's degree in Education or related field (Master's preferred)

• NYS teaching certification (or eligibility)

• Experience with differentiated instruction in diverse elementary classrooms

• Strong classroom management and relationship-building skills

• Growth mindset, positive attitude, and a collaborative spirit

• Proficiency with edtech tools and digital learning platforms
