Senior Buyer

Overview

Senior Buyer - Buyer - Manufacturing - Cannock. Brooklyn Recruitment currently have some exciting roles available in the Cannock area for a Senior Buyer within the manufacturing sector. This role would suit someone with purchasing / buying experience within a manufacturing environment; electrical manufacturing would be ideal but isn't essential.

This company has an excellent working environment with a light, bright and clean building. You would be joining a 6 strong procurement team as Senior Buyer in a total workforce of around 200, but this company still has a family friendly feel to it, where everyone is known by name and you even get your birthday off!

• Establishing relationships with and negotiating with suppliers.
• Negotiating freight costs.
• Adhering to all buying procedures.
• Managing demand reports.
• Establishing and updating safety stock levels against demand.
• Working with LEAN manufacturing initiatives.
• Escalating any supplier quality issues with the NCR team.
• Ensuring all supplier payment terms are in line with the company standards.
• Negotiating once quotes are received to ensure the best deals.
• Rejecting / negotiating any price increases from suppliers.
• Working with suppliers to ensure they deliver on time and in full.
• Producing supplier reports and categorising them.
• Other duties as required.

Mon - Thurs 8am - 5.15pm;
Fri 8am - 12pm
