Reed Recruitment is delighted to partner with a company in the energy sector to recruit a Senior Purchase Ledger for their Great Yarmouth office. This is a 12-month fixed term contract to cover maternity leave. The role is suited for professionals with experience in Purchase Ledger or Accounts Payable roles, who are ready to step into a key position within a dynamic business environment.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Oversee and maintain the setup of supplier accounts.
• Input purchase ledger invoices and match them to purchase orders.
• Resolve invoice queries and liaise with suppliers.
• Conduct supplier statement reconciliations and reconcile purchase ledger buying groups.
• Allocate supplier payments and reconcile company credit cards.
• Manage Pay Pal/Proforma accounts and handle supplier returns and credit note reporting.
• Prepare monthly payment runs, settlement runs, and weekly foreign payment runs.
• Process payments for staff expenses and perform monthly petty cash reconciliation.
• Liaise with internal stakeholders to resolve ad hoc queries regarding accounting procedures.
