Health and Safety Administrator

P+S Recruitment are pleased to be working on behalf of our client, who is currently recruiting for a strong administrator to join their team based in Great Yarmouth on a full-time, temporary basis for up to 3 months.

Main Responsibilities:

* Maintain and update the Health and Safety Management System documentation, safe working procedures, records and databases.

* Administer the warning marker and incident reporting systems and ensure all management system documentation is up to date, accurate, and filed correctly.

* Support the H&S Manager with inspections and audits and associated records.

* Monitor and track health and safety certifications, training records and compliance documentation.

* Assist with H&S compliance actions and risk assessments.

* Co-ordinate meetings, take minutes and distribute actions where required.

* Liaise with internal departments to obtain H&S information and track remedial actions.

* Produce short reports, spreadsheets and progress trackers using Microsoft Office.

* Provide general administrative support to the health & safety team.

Person Specification:

* 5 GCSEs including Maths and English.

* Previous administration experience, ideally involving H&S systems.

* An understanding of health and safety legislation and procedures.

* Strong organisational and IT skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Teams.

* Ability to prioritise a varied workload, with attention to detail and accuracy.

* Good written and verbal communication skills.

* Ability to work independently and a positive, proactive approach with a willingness to learn.

Working Hours

* Monday – Friday.

* 37 hours flexitime
