The Role:

You'll work closely with students aged 11-18, providing targeted support to help them overcome social, emotional, and behavioural challenges that may affect their learning. Collaborating with teachers, pastoral teams, and external professionals, you'll help create a safe, supportive environment where every young person can thrive.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide 1:1 and small group mentoring for students
Support pupils with social, emotional, and mental health needs
Deliver workshops and interventions to build confidence, resilience, and wellbeing
Work with teachers to promote positive behaviour and engagement in learning
Liaise with parents, carers, and external agencies to ensure joined-up support
Help create an inclusive, nurturing school culture where every student feels valued

What We're Looking For:

Experience working with young people in a school or youth work setting
A calm, empathetic, and patient approach
Strong communication and relationship-building skills
Ability to support young people through emotional and behavioural challenges
Relevant qualifications (e.g., Youth Work Level 2/3, Counselling, or Teaching Assistant) are desirable but not essential
