Overview
Functional Assessor – PIP (Personal Independence Payment) L4, Great Yarmouth – onsite. PFAS (Personal Functional Assessment Services) invites qualified clinicians to apply for a role that uses clinical skills to support the PIP assessment process.
Responsibilities- Conduct assessments and produce fair, evidence-based reports for individuals applying for PIP, as part of the DWP’s Health Assessment and Advisory Service (HAAS).
- Interview claimants to understand the challenges they face and assess how a disability, condition, or illness affects daily activities in a respectful, fair, and reassuring manner.
- Analyse information critically to create accurate and concise reports; interpret clinical information and evidence; maintain professional standards in written communication and adhere to a Code of Conduct.
- Provide positive experiences for claimants and colleagues while meeting quality and productivity targets.
- A minimum of 1 year of clinical experience as a qualified healthcare professional (as listed below).
- Ability to demonstrate broad clinical knowledge.
- Experience using computer software including Microsoft Office.
Nurses:
- Qualified Nurse (RGN, RMN, RNLD only)
- Member of the Royal College of Nursing (RCN)
Physios/OTs:
- Qualified Chartered Physiotherapist or Qualified Occupational Therapist
- Member of the UK Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC)
- Member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (MCSP) or College of OT’s (COT)
Paramedics:
- BSc or Qualified Paramedic
- Member of the UK Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC)

Location:
Great Yarmouth. Onsite role; full-time, 40 hours per week (Mon – Fri, 8:30am – 5pm). You must be located within a 90-minute radius of the site to be considered.
