Claxton are looking to hire a Facilities and Maintenance Assistant on a full time, permanent basis. Based at their facility in Great Yarmouth, the Facilities and Maintenance Assistant will have a dual role of assisting with facilities management and performing maintenance tasks, this will entail handling a diverse range of tasks with a requirement to adapt to changing needs as and when required.

• Commitment to health and safety when performing tasks, ensuring safety is a top priority.
• Perform general maintenance and repairs across the site.
• Respond to immediate site needs and urgent repair requirements.
• Carry out monthly compliance checks, for example, Water Temperatures, Emergency Lighting, assisting with weekly Fire Alarm testing.
• Accurate record keeping of maintenance inspections.
• Regularly inspecting the facility to identify/address any maintenance needs.
• Performing some gardening tasks and keeping the yard clear of debris.
• Ensuring that facilities stores are kept tidy and at an adequate stock level.
• Use of initiative to improve the efficiency and appearance of the facilities.
• Any other tasks requested by Facilities team.

• Proven experience in a maintenance role
• Experience and knowledge across various trades would be beneficial.
• Good communication, problem solving and time-management skills
• Self-motivated with ability to work independently with a can-do attitude, whilst paying attention to detail
