Powder Coating Operative

We are currently recruiting for a Powder Coating Operative to join a busy and well-established team in a large open warehouse based in Great Yarmouth.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to gain experience in a fast-paced environment with an emphasis on quality production.

Key Responsibilities:

Powder Coating:
Apply powder coating finishes to steel/metal frames to a high standard, ensuring consistency and quality.

Preparation:
Mask and prepare metal items for coating, ensuring that each item is ready for the application process.

Hanging:
Carefully hang items after powder coating for drying, ensuring no damage or issues during the curing process.

Post-Coating Handling:
Once cured, carefully move and stack finished products onto pallets.

Tool Use:
Use hand-held tools to secure bases and knock rubber bungs into frames as required.

Pallet Wrapping:
Use shrink wrap to secure items on pallets before moving them.

Warehouse Maintenance:
Ensure the powder coating area and the production floor are kept clean by using an industrial broom.

Manual Handling:
Operate manual pump-up pallet trucks to move pallets within the warehouse and yard.

Requirements:

Previous experience in a similar Powder Coating or manufacturing environment would be very advantageous.

Ability to work efficiently and carefully in a busy, fast-paced setting.

Strong attention to detail to maintain high-quality standards.

Good manual handling skills and ability to operate basic tools and equipment.

Must be reliable, punctual, and able to follow instructions accurately.

Must be physically fit and capable of handling lifting and manual tasks.
