Main duties of the jobOur 12 bedded mixed Intensive Care Unit/High Dependency Unit has a commitment to high standards of care and continued learning and can offer the successful candidates a new challenge with tremendous job satisfaction in a friendly and well supported environment. There is an excellent induction package and training in a modern and upgraded intensive care/high dependency unit supported by a clinical information management system.
The unit also operates a 12 hour shift system.

Jobresponsibilities
We can offer both full time position or part time positions at this time of recruitment. We may also have the opportunity for an additional 12 month secondment post at this time and this can be discussed at interview,

Person Specification Qualifications- RGN with current/active NMC PIN number
- Evidence of recent & relevant academic and clinical development in last 12 months
- ILS and PILS certifications
- Previous ICU and/or HDU experience
- Critical Care Course Qualification
- Recent acute hospital experience in the last 12 months
- Previous ICU and/or HDU experience within the last 4 years
- Ability to work confidently and remain calm under stress
- Good inter-personal skills which engender effective relationships with staff
- Accurate presentation and attention to detail
- Demonstrate basic understanding of ICU/HDU environment and patient group
