Job DescriptionThe Clinical Patient Support Representative combines the responsibilities of a Medical Assistant and Front Desk Receptionist, working collaboratively with clinical staff to ensure efficient and seamless operation of our clinical offices.
PrimaryDuties & Responsibilities
- Medical Assistant – Clinical Support
- Assist providers with patient examinations and procedures.
- Prepare examination rooms and maintain cleanliness.
- Record patient medical history and vital signs accurately.
- Administer medications and injections as directed.
- Perform basic laboratory tests and collect specimens.
- Maintain infection control standards and sterilize equipment.
- Front Desk Reception – Administrative
- Greet patients and visitors warmly to make a positive first impression.
- Schedule appointments and coordinate additional testing.
- Answer incoming calls, address inquiries, and direct calls appropriately.
- Verify insurance coverage and assist with billing questions.
- Collect payments at time of check‑in.
- Review patient demographics, entered into Practice Management and EHR.
- Scan patients’ driver’s licenses and insurance cards into Nti Enterprise.
- Ensure all required referrals are scanned into the EMR and linked correctly.
- Assist patients with registration in Phreesia.
- Minimum High School Diploma or GED required.
- Minimum of five (5) years front office and clinical experience, preferably in Urology.
- Proficient knowledge of Medical Terminology; ICD‑10 and CPT‑4 Codes.
- Current knowledge of clinical practice, quality assurance, and patient management.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and effectively as a healthcare team member.
- Proven organizational and prioritization skills.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient computer and database skills.
- Attention to detail and strong problem‑solving ability.
- HIPAA compliance and confidentiality.
- Typing speed of at least 40 words per minute.
- Must be willing to travel to other sites within the region.
- Floats to:
Largo, Brandywine, Annapolis.
- Regularly required to sit and stand for extended periods.
- Involves standing, sitting, walking, bending, stooping, twisting.
- Requires full range of body motion and manual dexterity.
- Occasionally lift and carry items up to 40 lbs.
Full‑Time. Pay Range: $22.00 – $26.00 per hour. Compensation may vary by experience, education, and location.
