Ferguson is currently seeking Facilities Maintenance Technician for our Market Distribution Center located in Upper Marlboro, Md. This position is responsible for the upkeep, maintenance and repair of the facility and equipment, along with its systems, and related events. We are looking for candidates that have a background in robotics (preferably Autostore), mechanical, electrical and conveyor systems maintenance.

3rd Shift

Schedule:

Monday–Friday, 9:00pm – 5:30am; overtime as needed.

• Entry level role or 1 year of experience in maintenance, automation, or a similar technical role
• Prior warehouse, distribution, shipping, or receiving experience preferred
• Hands-on experience using tools to troubleshoot, repair and resolve maintenance issues
• Basic to intermediate computer skills
• Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality and accuracy
• Proven ability to work in a team-oriented environment
• Strong work ethic with demonstrated reliability, professionalism, and integrity
• Continuous improvement mindset with a focus on increasing efficiency and improving processes
  
  Regular and reliable attendance and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Commitment to following all safety policies and PPE requirements
• Ability to work overtime including extended hours as needed based on business demands

• Conduct routine inspections of the facility, grounds, building systems, equipment, and Auto Store system; monitor performance and respond to issues as they arise
• Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on building systems (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, generators, and other equipment) to keep operations running smoothly
• Maintain and coordinate required testing and service for Fire/Life Safety systems, ensuring compliance with all safety regulations and standards
