Le Grand Bleu Restaurant is a premier hospitality business located directly on the beachfront of Lefkos, Karpathos Island (between Rhodes and Crete Island). Established in 1997, it operates as a successful, independent family-owned food and beverage.
Beach - Service - Waiter/ Beach Host
We are seeking a high-energy, fit, and hardworking individual (ideally between 25–45 years old) who thrives in a sunny beach environment.
This dynamic role combines guest relations, beach maintenance, food and beverage service, and basic barista duties. Very strong English speaking skills are required to successfully communicate with our international guests.
Availability: June 20 to October 20, 2026.
Responsibilities
• Guest Relations & Seating:
Welcome beach visitors warmly. Help them find available sunbeds and maintain a friendly, professional presence to stand out from local competitors.
• Payment Collection:
Process and collect daily rental fees for umbrellas and sunbeds. Turn in the collected cash total to the owner at the end of each day.
• Beach Service:
Take food and drink orders from beach guests. Serve items directly to their sunbeds, collect payments immediately, and remain readily available for any guest questions.
• basic Barista Duties:
Prepare coffees, drinks, and other beverages at the beach bar.
• Maintenance & Setup:
Reset and clean sunbeds as soon as guests leave. Every evening, tidy the beach area by raking the sand and collecting trash or cigarette butts. Restock the beach bar fridge and prep the workstation for the next day.
Compensation & Benefits
• Salary:
We offer a guaranteed clear salary of €1,200 per month (take-home pay), plus additional tips paid directly to you based on your excellent service (from your workspace / beach).
• Overtime Pay:
For working 7 days a week, your non-taken weekly days off will be paid out as a lump sum at the end of the season.
• Meals Provided:
Free daily breakfast (before your shift) and a free meal during your lunch break ( 1 hour)
• Accommodation:
Free shared accommodation (1 bedroom with 2 single beds , 1 bathroom (shower) , fridge, balcony shared with one other team member) in a nearby guesthouse, located a short 900-meter walk from the beach.
• Health Insurance:
Full social health insurance covered by the employer, as required by the Greek government.
Requirements
• Must be an EU citizen or hold valid legal paperwork to work in Greece.
• Fluent or highly proficient in English.
• Physically fit and capable of working outdoors in hot weather.
