Job Description Summary Weld County Department of Human Services (WCDHS) Family Time services are designed to actively monitor, assess, and assist in the overall adult/child interactions between parent/relative/caregiver and child(ren) with the intent to improve the quality of the relationships, bonds, and attachments to assist in achieving permanency for children and families. The Family Time Worker II provide services that include clinical observation and assessment of parent/child interactions with the Family Time Worker II intervening to provide feedback and coaching and assist in ensuring child safety.
Work office will be established, but employee may perform work on the Greeley Campus or at one of the other satellite offices at the Southwest Campus or Fort Lupton Campus when required. Appointments with clients may be held at the Family Time Center, in the family home, or in a neutral community location. Must be willing to work evenings and weekends to accommodate families.

This position is in-person and is not eligible for consistent telework arrangements. Reliable, predictable, attendance within designated scheduled hours. Full-time position is 40 hours per week. Days and hours will be determined based on business needs. Work may involve time away from a standard office environment, which may consist of driving to and from appointments at the client's home and in transporting children.

Work may occur in client's homes, which could be considered a hostile or unsanitary environment. After hours and on call work situations may occur on occasion to provide support to families that need services outside of normal business hours.

Job Description
** Family Time Coaching, Intervention, and Skills Training - 70%
*** Provide intensive in the room supervision and hands on skills training intervention for in office and in-home family time between parents, other relatives, and children. This could include coaching and modeling designed to increase a caregiver’s ability to read the child’s cues and appropriately meet their needs.
* Provide in-the-moment interventions that uphold the child’s physical and emotional safety as well as the Family Time Center policies and guidelines.
* Provide parent education either formally through structured curriculum, or informally through interventions and modeling, for each case.
* Create goals with clients using strength-based engagement techniques.
* Provide feedback to parents to further educate, evaluate and review progress toward permanency for children.
* Document progress of parent and parent child relationships in family time notes and monthly progress reports and participates as an active treatment team member.
* Develop rapport with parents and learns about their family culture/values and work to identify dysfunctional family relationships, cross-generational patterns, and trauma experiences which are negatively impacting the safety of the child(ren). This could include parenting or family time assessments.
* ICPC case assignments.
