Additional salary credit may be given for internal transfers and recent rehires, up to $31.87 per hour plus benefits.
Contract Length2025‑2026, 182 days.

Education / Experience- Required:
AA degree or 48 semester hours or passing scores on Work Keys exam. - Preferred: CPI training (training provided), CPR/First Aid (training provided).
Summary/Objective:
Provide an enriched atmosphere where students learn subject matter and/or skills that will contribute to their development as mature, able, and responsible members of society. Facilitate learning and guide students toward the fulfillment of their potential for intellectual, emotional and psychological growth and maturation. Responsible to the building principal and department director where assigned.
- Support the academic programming and progress of individual students and/or small groups of students with identified significant needs.
- Provide student‑specific personal care and support.
- Assist with daily classroom activities, data collection, sanitizing equipment and materials, and provide support to the staff.
- Ability to sit for long periods of time, numerous distractions, visual, auditory and ambulatory acuity important.
- Ability to move quickly from one position to another in response to student needs and possess upper body strength to lift and carry 50 lbs.
Applicant must have the knowledge, skills and abilities sufficient to perform the function of the position. Previous experience working in a school setting or with children with special needs. Strong verbal communication skills and positive attitude. Paraprofessional experience preferred. Bilingual skills preferred.
