Description
As the Center Support Specialist, you will provide operational and administrative leadership for Head Start centers in assigned regions. You will manage center operations while ensuring high-quality, culturally relevant services that promote children’s holistic growth and align with Centro’s policies and Head Start Performance Standards.

Key Responsibilities
Center Operations: Manage daily operations, ensuring compliance with policies and laws. Hire, train, and lead staff, maintain personnel records, and monitor the quality of services.
Staff Leadership: Provide mentoring, conduct meetings, and lead training for staff. Collaborate with Policy Council representatives and engage parents in children’s education.
Community Representation: Act as a liaison in the community, fostering partnerships to benefit families. Assist in budget management, grant preparation, and data collection.
Oversee health and safety protocols: Ensure the center is clean, organized, and meets CACFP requirements for nutritious meals.
Education Services: Oversee educational programming, ensuring developmental appropriateness and alignment with the CDLFU School Readiness Plan. Train and support teachers in implementing assessments and individualized learning plans.
Compliance & Reporting: Ensure adherence to Head Start standards for home visits, parent conferences, and recordkeeping. Prepare reports as needed.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Administration, Management, or related field.
- 3+ years of supervisory experience, with a preference for early childhood education or social work.
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred.
- Must obtain CPR and First Aid certification. CDL is a plus.
