QualificationsEducation/Experience Required:
- High School Diploma or GED
- CPR certification
- CHSAA test and regulation compliance
- Concussion education and training
- Prior coaching experience in girls basketball
- Effective communication in a middle school environment
Preferred
:
- Bilingual skills
- Knowledge of Colorado and district content standards
Summary/Objective The coach works closely with the head coach, supporting the overall plan and running assigned practice segments. The coach also supervises students from court until pickup or meeting sessions.
Essential Functions Organize and supervise games and practices, assist with student supervision during activities.
Additional Qualifications Must complete concussion training.
Knowledge, Skills, and Mental Ability The coach should have sufficient knowledge and skills to perform all duties, demonstrate leadership that meets social, emotional, psychological, and academic needs of students, and thrive in a flexible, high‑stress environment with long hours.
Other DutiesResponsibilities may evolve; regular attendance is required. No supervisory responsibilities are assigned. The coach must be able to sit for long periods, handle distractions, maintain visual, auditory and ambulatory acuity, occasionally lift up to 30 pounds, and travel is not required.
