Project Engineer – Denver Office

As a Denver office Project Engineer, you’ll join our team that delivers innovative, client‑specific construction solutions. Our projects support essential infrastructure and utilities that keep communities running smoothly.

Here’s how you’ll contribute:

Responsibilities
  • Maintain contracts with selected trade partners and administer subcontract agreements, including defining work scope, answering inquiries, and supervising progress.
  • Participate in change management and change order processes, pricing changes, and assessing cost and schedule impacts.
  • Manage project documentation and procedures, coordinating RFIs, shop drawings, submittals, as‑built drawings, and related processes for both building and civil work.
  • Collaborate with the project team lead to supervise design work and respond timely to the submittal schedule.
  • Review trade partner submittals for compliance with scope and design documentation before forwarding to design review.
  • Coordinate with the project manager and superintendent to manage overall project or scope performance in terms of HSE, cost, schedule, and quality.
  • Prepare and supervise progress claims and estimates.
  • Track inventory and materials, expediting orders as needed.
  • Assist with site inspections, collaborating with the design team to resolve constructability and coordination issues; review and sign off on functionality, AHJ requirements, and code compliance.
  • Participate in overall project closeout, handling document archiving, maintenance and warranty manuals, deficiencies, and warranty work.
Qualifications
  • 1–3 years of construction experience in an operational role preferred.
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, architecture, or related field preferred, or equivalent experience.
  • Verified understanding of construction equipment and techniques, drawings and specifications, project health, safety, environment (HSE), quality, building materials, and relevant field standards.
  • Ability to apply basic engineering/problem‑solving principles to construction challenges.
  • Effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated flexibility and the ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Planning, organizational, and time management skills with the ability to multitask, prioritize, and delegate simple tasks.
  • Ability to develop a comprehensive schedule.
  • Ability to coordinate subcontracts and contract documents.
  • Competency in Microsoft Office Suite and internal operational systems, with a strong ability to adapt to new technology.

Compensation & Benefits

Salary range: $78,000 – $101,000 per annum, based on experience and qualifications. The position will be open for a minimum of five days but may remain available for a longer period.
