Fiber Permitting Manager – Viaero Wireless

The Permitting Manager will work with multiple municipalities in handling all facets of the utility permitting and agreement process. Duties will consist of closely working with engineers, architectural firms, network construction and operations teams, to ensure timely receipt of all necessary construction permits, agreements and easement verification. The individual will conduct discussions, schedule and track permits and agreements, request and track PO’s and Check requests, permit filing and tracking, mailing, and other tasks as needed.

Ideal candidates are self‑starters, solution‑focused, multi‑taskers, cost‑conscious, organized, proactive, and able to handle fast‑paced work.

Location:

Onsite, Fort Morgan, Colorado.

Base Pay Range

$62,000.00/yr - $73,000.00/yr

Responsibilities
  • Research and compile permitting and agreement documents based on project, customer and network route designs.
  • Work with multiple groups of architects, engineers and department employees.
  • Review project documents and drawings and work with engineering and project teams to document correct design documentation for submittal.
  • Compile, submit, manage, and track all permits and agreements throughout the course of submittal and the construction buildout.
  • Determine permit types and correct municipalities required for each project.
  • Request PO and Check request as needed.
  • Forecast permit timelines and relay those that impact delays.
  • Proactively identify potential roadblocks and work with agencies to resolve issues.
  • Update network database documents and statuses.
  • Manage and coordinate the routine tracking of the project with external agencies.
  • Coordinate with jurisdictions, municipalities and entities on projects affecting existing network locations.
  • Utilize knowledge and capabilities in coordinating and tracking easement surveying and required surveys.
Qualifications
  • 2+ years of experience in permitting, construction coordination, or regulatory compliance (telecom or utility industry preferred).
  • A degree or equivalent experience in Real Estate Development, Land Use Planning, Geography or a similar field is desirable.
  • Experience with Google Earth and ability to learn other mapping applications.
  • Experience with Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and other real estate analysis tools.
  • Understanding of property ownership rights, ability to research registries of deeds, and to understand and interpret property entitlements.
  • Ability to analyze land use ordinances and permitting regulations.
  • Education and/or experience with project coordination and business.
  • Intermediate or Advanced skills with MS Office (Word, Excel).
  • Proficient with Google and other relevant programs.
  • Strong organizational and time‑management skills.
  • Experience working in a utility/residential/commercial construction permitting role preferred.
  • Experience with a database tracking timelines and deliverables preferred.
  • Ability to identify problems and recommend resolutions.
  • Maintain accurate records, logs, and spreadsheets.
  • Ability to conduct technical‑driven research within multiple deadlines.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to realize and resolve difficult inquiries or issues relative to assigned work by asking questions and inquiring amongst the team.
  • Ability to ensure timely processing of applications and deliverables.
  • Able to have a strong working knowledge of multiple complex projects congruently.
  • Proven decision‑making skills and the ability to succeed in a dynamic environment.
  • The ability to adapt to changing priorities and/or environments if necessary.

Candidates must be able to pass pre‑employment processes, which include drug screening following Federal law, criminal background check and motor vehicle record check.
