Location: Fair Acres Manor
Compensation: $33.00 - $39.00 per hour
Key Responsibilities- Patient Care Execution:
Under the supervision of an occupational therapist, a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant is responsible for executing the therapeutic plans designed to help patients, including teaching patients how to use adaptive equipment, guiding them through exercises, and engaging them in activities that are crucial to their recovery and improvement. - Activity and Program Planning:
Contribute to the planning and selection of therapeutic activities tailored to individual needs and interests, applying creative and practical approaches to meet therapeutic goals set by the occupational therapist. - Progress Monitoring:
Regularly monitor and document patient progress, observe changes in performance and behavior, report observations to the occupational therapist, and adjust interventions to ensure continuous improvement. - Patient and Family
Education:
Educate patients and their families about the therapy process, use of adaptive equipment, and home modifications to support long-term recovery and independence.
- Degree in an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
