About the Role

The role of Project Manager at Hall-Irwin is pivotal in leading the successful execution of commercial, slurry wall, and land development projects. This position encompasses comprehensive project management functions, including planning, resource allocation, financial oversight, client relationship management, and team leadership. The Project Manager will also mentor other project managers, promote a culture of safety, and drive continuous improvement across all aspects of project delivery.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Manage and oversee commercial, slurry, and land development projects with values up to $20M.
  • Lead project planning, including scope, schedule, budget, and resource allocation.
  • Efficiently allocate resources, including labor, equipment, and materials, to optimize project performance and cost-effectiveness.
  • Manage multiple concurrent projects and responsibilities efficiently and effectively.
  • Conduct contract negotiations with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
  • Identify potential risks and develop strategies to mitigate them, ensuring that projects are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Proactively identify and mitigate project risks to maintain budget and schedule integrity.
  • Implement lean construction techniques and drive process improvements.
  • Lead by example when it comes to safe construction sites and a safety mindset on all projects.
  • Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, schedule, budget, and resource allocation.
  • Maintain compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations, building codes, and safety standards.
  • Foster client relationships, ensuring client satisfaction and repeat business.
  • Cultivate relationships with clients, industry partners, and stakeholders to enhance visibility and standing of the business.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management or related field. Advanced degree in a relevant field can be counted towards years of experience.
  • 5+ years progressive experience in construction project management, including experience managing projects of similar scale and complexity.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification and/or Construction Manager (CM) or similar certifications are highly desirable.
  • Ability to motivate, manage and mentor the project management and project engineering team members.
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to develop and implement project plans that align with company goals and objectives.
  • Thorough understanding of quality assurance processes and regulatory compliance requirements in the construction industry.
  • Able to work within tight unyielding deadlines.
  • Solid financial management skills, including budgeting, cost estimation, and financial analysis, with a focus on maximizing profitability.
  • Willingness and ability to foster effective collaboration with internal teams and external partners.
  • OSHA 10, OSHA 30, or other detail level safety training.
  • Independently motivated to continuously improve processes and systems to make them as efficient as possible.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite, Bluebeam, and other construction related software.
