Position: SANITATION SITE MANAGER I

Purpose & Scope

Your Company is in search of an experienced Sanitation Site Manager who will be responsible for monitoring and managing all aspects of the sanitation operation, ensuring compliance with sanitation regulations and implementing efficient sanitation practices. Maintaining a clean and safe environment for employees and visitors.

Principle Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement sanitation protocols, procedures, and guidelines to maintain a high standard of cleanliness throughout the facility
  • Oversee daily sanitation including cleaning, disinfecting, waste management and pest control to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices
  • Conduct regular inspections to assess performance of the sanitation department and identify potential issues and address them in a timely manner
  • Manage and maintain sanitation supplies, equipment, and chemicals through coordination with other departments
  • Train, supervise, discipline sanitation staff providing coaching, support, and feedback to ensure the highest level of performance and adherence to sanitation protocols
  • Monitor and manage the budget set forth for sanitation operations, identifying cost‑saving opportunities without compromising food safety, quality, or people safety
  • Stay up to date with local, state, and federal sanitation regulations and guidelines, ensuring compliance and implementing changes as necessary
  • Develop and maintain accurate records and documentation related to sanitation, operations, cleaning schedules, inspections, and training records to demonstrate compliance
  • Implement measures to ensure sanitation meets established standards and collaborate with the Quality Assurance team to address any related issues that affect product quality and food safety
  • Train, monitor, and promote a safe work environment by enforcing safety guidelines and safe‑work practices
  • Stay up to date regarding industry trends, technologies, and best practices and implement any relevant improvements or upgrades
Qualifications
  • Experience in sanitation management, preferably in a manufacturing or food processing environment
  • Strong knowledge of sanitation regulations
  • Leadership abilities and ability to motivate and guide a team effectively
  • Organization and time‑management skills to prioritize tasks
  • Detail‑oriented and focused on food safety compliance
  • Communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with all levels of the organization
  • Computer skills including experience with Microsoft Office applications
  • Flexibility
Requirements

Education:

Minimum high school diploma or equivalency required;
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent practical experience

Experience:

5+ years of experience in Sanitation Management preferred

Bilingual:
English/Spanish preferred

Additional Requirements
  • Experience in designing and delivering training programs, preferably in a sanitation related role
  • In‑depth knowledge of the steps of sanitation, safety regulations, and best practices
  • Experience in maintaining personnel files, discipline, performance evaluations, and discipline procedures
  • Knowledge of onboarding process for new hires and qualification process
  • Extensive knowledge of documentation related to training, personnel, USDA, GFSI auditing, etc.
Working Hours
  • 3rd Shift, 8+ hours per day
  • Sunday‑Friday and Saturday as needed
