A JBS QA Supervisor
oversees the quality and food safety aspects of production, ensuring compliance with regulations and standards, and manages a team of QA technicians
. They are responsible for tasks such as monitoring product quality, conducting tests, maintaining records, and ensuring proper procedures are followed. They also play a key role in training, performance management, and maintaining a positive work environment for their team able to work long hours based on production demand.

• ++Supervision and Management:++

Leading and supervising a team of QA technicians, including training, performance management, and addressing performance issues.

• ++Quality Assurance:++

Ensuring products meet established standards and specifications, conducting inspections and tests, and monitoring production processes.

• ++Food Safety:++

Ensuring compliance with USDA regulations and other food safety standards, monitoring sanitation and hygiene practices, and implementing corrective actions as needed.

• ++Record Keeping:++

Maintaining accurate records of quality tests, audits, and other relevant data.

• ++Communication:++

Maintaining clear communication with QA, production, and USDA personnel, and reporting quality data to relevant stakeholders.

• ++Training:++

Ensuring employees are properly trained on quality and food safety procedures, and conducting training sessions as needed.

• ++Continuous Improvement:++

Identifying areas for improvement in quality and food safety processes and implementing solutions.

Previous supervisory experience, and experience in a food manufacturing environment (preferably poultry or beef processing).

Understanding of USDA and OSHA regulations, quality assurance principles, and food safety procedures.

Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, as well as proficiency in computer skills (e.g., Microsoft Office suite).

A bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., food science, biology) may be preferred, but experience can be a significant factor.

Education and Experience:

Typically requires a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Food Science, Animal Science, etc.) or an Associate's degree with related experience. Prior supervisory experience, especially in a food manufacturing or poultry environment, is often required.
