Job Summary
The City of Greeley is seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Part-Time Bartender to join our dynamic team. As a Bartender, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, preparing and serving a wide range of beverages, and creating a welcoming and enjoyable atmosphere for our guests. This is a part-time position that requires flexibility in working hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Must be 21 years old or older.

Preferred
- Previous experience as a bartender or in a similar customer service role is preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
- Knowledge of basic math skills for handling cash transactions and calculating drink prices.
- Knowledge of different types of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, cocktails, and mixology techniques.
- Knowledge of the business and organizational structure of Colorado municipalities.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations and willingness to adhere to them.
- Collaboration skills, including the ability to work with others from different areas and backgrounds to reach a common goal.
- Computer skills, including the ability to utilize Microsoft Office programs and learn new software and systems.
- Interpersonal skills, including the ability to facilitate interaction, communication, and teamwork between others.
- Oral, written, and listening communication skills, including the ability to interpret and convey messages accurately.

Essential Functions
- Serves alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, and cocktails.
- Greets customers in a friendly and professional manner, takes orders, and makes recommendations based on preferences.
- Prepares and serves a variety of beverages following established recipes and standards.
- Ensures accurate handling of cash transactions, including payments, change, and credit card processing.
- Maintains a clean and organized bar area, stocks supplies, cleans glasses and utensils, and arranges bottles and ingredients.
- Engages with customers to create a welcoming atmosphere and provide excellent service.
- Assesses customer preferences and tailors drink recommendations accordingly.
- Adheres to health, safety, and sanitation guidelines.
- Monitors and manages inventory levels and reports discrepancies to management.
- Collaborates with concessions staff to ensure efficient service during peak hours and events.
- Stays updated with beverage trends and techniques.
- Closes and cleans work areas.
- Assists Ice Haus staff during events as needed.
Supervisory Responsibilities
- No Supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment And Physical Requirements
Work Environment
- Frequent and heavy contact with the public and City employees in person and by telephone.
- Frequent interruptions.
- Flexibility to work weekdays, nights, weekends, evenings, and holidays.
- Open environment with heavy noise levels at times.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to walk, stand, bend, stoop, reach, and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Long periods of standing and walking.
Travel
- May travel up to 10% of the time.
