Part-Time Sales Teammate at The Buckle, Inc.
The Sales Teammate position’s primary responsibility is to fulfill our mission statement: “To create the most enjoyable shopping experience possible for our Guests.” Sales Teammates perform a variety of sales, merchandising and operational tasks assigned by Store Management (e.g., cashiering, merchandise display and pulls, register procedures, and routine cleaning of facilities).
Responsibilities- Sales Generation and Guest Service:
Greet Guests, answer questions about the store and merchandise, recommend and locate items based on Guest needs, anticipate and fulfill Guest needs, demonstrate product knowledge, stay informed on current promotions and policies, and contribute to a high level of Guest service across all areas (front, sales floor, fitting rooms, and register). - Daily Operations:
Open/close cash registers, balance cash drawers, follow Loss Prevention guidelines, manage POS procedures, and perform merchandising tasks including freight handling, re-merchandising, price markdowns, and transfers. - Product Presentation:
Present merchandise to maximize sales, stay current on product range, and collect feedback for product improvements. - Visual Merchandise Management:
Maintain a clean, organized, and shoppable store; ensure new freight is displayed appropriately. - Teammate Recruiting, Training and Development:
Recognize recruiting opportunities, create relationships through Guest Loyalty programs, and foster a positive floor culture. - Customer Relationships:
Build and maintain relationships to develop a client-based business and meet Buckle’s customer service expectations. - Leadership and Compliance:
Demonstrate leadership actions consistently, even when management is not present, and communicate policy violations or concerns to the appropriate leadership. - Other Duties:
Complete special projects and other duties as assigned.
- Education and/or
Experience:
No prior experience or training required. - Physical Demands:
Regularly stand, walk, use hands, reach, and lift/maneuver up to 30 lbs. Vision requirements include close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and focus adjustment. - Work Environment:
Retail store setting with moderate noise level.
