We are seeking a Dental Hygienist who promotes dental health by performing prophylaxis, oral cancer screenings, radiographic studies, charting conditions of decay and disease, and complying with the dental practice act.
Essential Functions- Prepare patients for dental hygiene treatment by welcoming, soothing, seating, and draping them.
- Maintain dental instruments by sharpening, sterilizing, and selecting appropriate tools.
- Capture diagnostic digital radiographs, properly labeled and without overlapping.
- Perform dental prophylaxis by cleaning deposits and stains from teeth and beneath gum margins.
- Detect diseases through oral cancer screening, visual and tactile examination of gums, probing for periodontal disease, and radiographic studies.
- Manage dental supplies inventory by checking stock levels, anticipating needs, and placing orders.
- Document services by recording vital signs, medical and dental histories in patient records.
- Associate degree in Dental Hygiene.
- Two years of experience preferred but open to new graduates.
- Qualified in Basic Life Support techniques/CPR.
- Good communication skills in written and spoken language.
