Liturgical Choir Accompanist is a student exhibiting strong piano and improvisational skills, sight‑reading ability, and a proficient level of choral score reading ability. 7‑10 hours a week.

• Requires high school diploma and at least one semester of college undergraduate study
• Must be a practicing Catholic and a member in good standing of a Catholic parish
• Must be single, ordained, a professed religious or in a sacramental marriage
• Must have a strong faith commitment, dedicated to the Gospel values and living a life of prayer and service
• Extensive instrumental background required (seven to ten years of lessons including study of classical repertoire)
• High level of sight‑reading ability
• Proficiency in reading a choral score
• Improvisational skills and/or an understanding and working knowledge of fundamental music theory
• Experience playing for Catholic liturgies preferred but not required
• Ability to be creative, organized, detail‑oriented, and dependable
• Ability to be outgoing and comfortable meeting new people
• Ability to recruit and retain volunteers
