At Prevea Health the Audiologist is responsible for providing comprehensive diagnostic and rehabilitative audiological services to patients across the lifespan.
This role applies current audiological principles in diagnostic testing, amplification practices, hearing conservation, and advanced treatment modalities to ensure the highest quality of patient‑centered care.
The Audiologist will also maintain compliance with professional standards, ethical practices, and continuing education requirements to uphold exceptional clinical outcomes and patient satisfaction.
Responsibilities- Conduct and interpret a full range of audiological assessments, including otoscopic examination, behavioral testing, pure‑tone and speech audiometry, speech‑in‑noise testing, impedance testing (tympanometry, acoustic reflex, reflex decay), and otoacoustic emissions testing.
- Provide patient‑centered amplification services, including hearing‑aid evaluations, selection, fitting, counseling, and management of assistive listening devices.
- Ensure accurate and ethical billing, coding, and documentation of patient records.
- Advocate for hearing conservation through education and provision of protective hearing and assistive listening devices.
- Perform vestibular assessments (ENG/VNG) to aid in diagnosis and treatment of balance disorders.
- When applicable, manage cochlear implant mapping and follow‑up care.
- Master’s Degree in Audiology or Communication Disorders (Required)
- Doctorate in Audiology or Communication Disorders (Preferred)
- Strong knowledge of amplification technology, hearing‑aid fitting, and assistive listening devices.
- Demonstrated organizational skills that allow timely patient appointments and appropriate follow‑ups.
- Exhibits a courteous and service‑oriented image through positive and helpful interaction with patients, families, physicians, and co‑workers.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to form professional relationships with patients and peers.
- Ability to prioritize work and maintain workflow efficiency.
