Regional MDS Coordinator – Green Bay, WI and surrounding areas
We are conducting a search for a Regional MDS Coordinator to provide support to multiple Skilled Nursing Facilities in WI, near and surrounding the Green Bay, WI area. The VP of Clinical Reimbursement to which this position reports is well-respected in the field, and is very supportive of department staff, both in the buildings and in the field.
We are excited to find a candidate with a demonstrated history of successful MDS coordination who is comfortable leading teams towards established goals and corporate standards. It should be noted that this position is available because of company growth, and not because of attrition, turnover, etc.
Responsibilities:- Provide leadership for multiple MDS Coordinators, ensuring standards of practice are uniformly implemented across the corporation.
- Stay abreast of current Medicare and Medicaid regulations, as well as prepare for upcoming changes in a proactive manner.
- Implement corporate directives, and act as an internal resource and support for facility MDS Coordinators and other support staff.
- Conduct educational in services as needed.
- Ensure staff have the necessary tools to efficiently capture and report clinical reimbursement for services rendered.
- Evaluate, sustain, and improve existing MDS procedures and practices where needed.
- RN licensure. License must be in good standing, IL licensure preferred, ability for reciprocity is a must.
- 3 or more years of MDS Coordinator or Restorative nursing experience required.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as a demonstrated ability to work well with diverse staff and residents.
- PDPM expertise and ability to provide effective employee training and resource support.
