Front Desk Clerk – Hotel Equities
The Front Desk Clerk is responsible for providing professional, courteous service to arriving, departing and in‑house guests. The role includes greeting guests, processing reservations, handling payments, issuing keys, and resolving complaints.
Base Pay Range$16.00/hr – $16.00/hr
Key Responsibilities- Greet and welcome guests upon arrival, verifying reservations, addresses, and payment information.
- Promote the preferred guest program and record all members’ benefits.
- Accept payments at registration and checkout, maintain the house bank, and provide daily receipts reports.
- Issue keys, manage safety deposit boxes, and post miscellaneous charges as requested.
- Respond promptly to and resolve guest complaints and inquiries via telephone and in‑person.
- Take reservations, check‑ins, and check‑outs efficiently, ensuring accurate and friendly service.
- Assist guests with luggage, local area information, and hotel services.
- Maintain compliance with safety, sanitation, and hotel policies.
- Perform other duties as directed by the General Manager.
- High School diploma or equivalent (secondary qualification).
- Experience with Marriott, Hilton, IHG, Wyndham, or Hyatt processes and standards.
- Basic computer skills, good written and verbal communication, and basic math ability.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 20 lbs for up to 4 hours.
- Comfortable reading, writing, and speaking in the primary workplace language(s).
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
