This Field Services Engineer position involves planning, organizing, installation, relocation, and maintenance of computer systems, peripherals, communications, data circuits, network hardware, kiosks, digital signage, ATMs, IP phones, and related equipment. It also includes providing hardware installation, configuration, maintenance, and software support services.
Responsibilities include:- Responding to customer requests for on-site hardware repair services, using company parts and tools to resolve issues.
- Expediting difficult service issues to IT support for timely resolution.
- Configuring, troubleshooting, and repairing laptops; managing deployments and returns.
- Troubleshooting connectivity or communication problems related to computers and IP phones.
- Managing requests for equipment removal, relocation, or installation, including site feasibility and cost assessments.
- Developing policies, procedures, and documentation for IT hardware.
- Participating in installation and relocation of IT technologies, ensuring timely project completion.
- Performing preventive maintenance and inventory audits, maintaining accurate records.
- Reviewing hardware performance and recommending replacements or relocations.
- Providing AV, laptop setup, and technical support for executives and other departments.
- Associate's Degree in relevant technical fields or equivalent experience.
- 2-4 years of troubleshooting and repairing PC, laptop, server, printer, and multifunction hardware; IP telephones;
Windows 10/11;
Microsoft Office; network cabling. - 4-7 years of similar experience plus Cisco hardware, Apple hardware, and technical documentation skills preferred.
- Reliable transportation and ability to drive lawfully.
- Certifications in HP, Data Card, Lexmark, or within 1 year of hire.
