The OpportunityWe are seeking a detail-oriented Licensing Coordinator to support our contracting and licensing operations. In this role, you will serve as a key liaison between insurance agents, agencies, and carriers, ensuring agent licensing and contracting is processed accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with carrier and regulatory requirements.
What You’ll Do- Act as a liaison between insurance agents, agencies, and insurance carriers
- Process new agent onboarding and contracting
- Review and audit contracting paperwork for completeness and accuracy
- Create and maintain agent records within internal systems
- Follow up with agency staff via phone and email regarding outstanding items, including missing signatures, letters of explanation, and incomplete forms
- Research and verify agent licenses
- Prepare, process, and distribute Termination of Appointment letters as needed
- Prepare and submit electronic contracts through carrier and vendor websites
- Support agency staff with agent contracting questions and requirements
- Process agent transfers between agencies, ensuring appointments and commissions are reassigned correctly and promptly
- Demonstrate working knowledge of contracting requirements for Medicare products, Life Insurance, Disability Insurance, Long-Term Care (LTC), and Annuities
- Monitor the contracting inbox and route inquiries appropriately
- Respond to phone calls and emails throughout the workday
- Assist with additional projects and perform other duties as assigned
