Key Responsibilities- Operate and Program CNC Horizontal Machines: Operate and program Mazak CNC Horizontal Machines using Mazatrol controls to produce precision parts.
- Complex Setup and Optimization: Independently set up complex jobs, including machine tools, fixtures, and tooling, to maximize efficiency and maintain tight tolerances.
- Blueprint Interpretation: Interpret blueprints, job travelers, and machining instructions accurately.
- Develop and Optimize Programs: Develop and optimize CNC programs using Mazatrol, G-code, or CAM software.
- Quality Assurance: Inspect parts using precise measuring instruments to ensure they meet stringent quality standards and specifications.
- Problem Solving: Proactively identify and solve machining challenges, troubleshoot machine issues, and implement effective solutions.
- Continuous Improvement & Safety: Identify and implement innovative solutions to improve processes and reduce costs, while strictly adhering to safety protocols and maintaining a clean, organized work environment.
- Proven Experience: A minimum of 3 years of hands‑on CNC machining experience in a job shop environment, with at least 2 years of Mazatrol programming experience.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong understanding of GD&T, blueprint reading, and diverse machining processes.
- Skilled Operator: Proficient in operating CNC machines, setting up tools, and using a variety of measuring instruments.
- Problem‑Solver & Prioritization: Possesses strong problem‑solving and prioritization skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues independently.
- Continuous Improvement Mindset: Self‑motivated with a continuous improvement mindset and a willingness to work with advanced CAD/CAM, tooling, and fixturing systems.
- Collaborative & Detail‑Oriented: A team player with a collaborative mindset and meticulous attention to detail to ensure accuracy and quality in all work.
