Occupational Health & Safety, Regulatory Compliance Specialist
As a safety co-op, at Green Bay Packaging Mill Division, you will gain exposure to occupational safety in a paper mill setting.
Responsibilities- Maintaining OSHA compliance of safety programs and procedures
- Conducting employee training as required by OSHA
- Developing and maintaining proactive safety and security programs
- Coordinating the implementation of measures needed to assure compliance with changes in laws and regulations affecting safety
- Conducting root cause analysis of injuries and near misses and making recommendations for eliminating potential risks
- Overseeing accident investigation programs, developing accident trends and implementing programs/action plans for accident prevention and improving safety performance
- Performing other related duties as assigned
- In pursuit of earning a BS degree in Occupational & Environmental Safety & Health
- Candidates must have completed or be working toward completion of their sophomore year and be in good academic standing
- Excellent organizational skills
- Proficient in Microsoft applications
- The ideal candidate will have availability to work a semester in addition to a full time summer internship. Hours during the school semester can be part-time and flexible.
