Medical Assistant / CNA - Orthopedics and Sports Medicine
Join Bay Care Clinic’s Orthopedics and Sports Medicine team in Green Bay, WI. The typical hours for this role are Monday‑Friday from 7:30 am‑5:00 pm, with flexibility as a full‑time, part‑time, or PRN opportunity.
Responsibilities- Assist practitioners with patients; escorting patients to rooms, taking vital signs, and patient teaching as directed by a physician.
- May assist nursing staff in admitting patients in the pre‑operative area.
- Inform nursing staff of any patient concerns.
- May assist in the post‑operative execution of physician orders.
- Assist physician with treatment of patients such as handling instruments, tube changes, dressing changes, clip removal, and suture removal.
- Assist with surgery and/or procedures as requested.
- Schedule required tests.
- Talk with patients regarding scheduled tests and test results as indicated from charts after review by physician.
- Answer minor medical problem questions for patients.
- Make telephone calls to patients regarding physician orders and/or prescription medications ordered by the physician.
- Stock appropriate medical and drug supplies.
- Assist in routine cleaning of patient rooms, waiting areas, and maintain accurate cleaning logs.
- Accurately document all care provided to the patient in the patient’s medical record.
- A valid Medical Assistant certification is preferred.
- 1 year of experience required; general surgery experience helpful but not required.
- EPIC electronic health record experience desired.
- Candidate must be a dedicated and compassionate individual who enjoys working in a fast‑paced, versatile environment with a willingness to learn.
