Job SummaryThe Registered Nurse II at Prevea plays a crucial role as an integral member of our clinic team, delivering patient-centered care. They provide patient care, educate patients and their families, and collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure that patients receive the best possible care.
Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care which includes rooming of patients, obtaining medical information, performing comprehensive initial patient assessment and reassessment pertinent to specialty area of practice.
- Administer medications and monitor for reactions or side effects.
- Maintain patient charts/records and follow nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
- Communicate information with patients, physician, advanced practice providers and staff to ensure quality and continuity of care.
- Assists the physician or advanced practice provider with procedures, note instructions/orders and make necessary arrangements to ensure they are carried out.
- Triage patient, family, external provider, or affiliate staff concerns/inquiries.
- Manage patient/family health concerns through telephone triage.
- Actively seek information to understand patient circumstances, problems, expectations, and needs.
- Facilitate caller access to appropriate level of care by assessing needs and offering clinical options using medical judgement within scope of licensure.
- May also refer to health care providers, services, and community resources.
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited nursing program.
- Registered Nurse Level II (RN Level II) experience preferred.
- Strong commitment to patient-centered care, collaboration, and continuous education.
- Ability to practice safely and deliver exceptional care within scope of practice.
