Outside Sales Representative
Koss Industrial is a leading manufacturer of custom stainless steel processing equipment and components for the cheese, food, beverage, and other sanitary industries. We have engineered solutions since 1978 and offer engineering, fabrication, precision machining, waterjet cutting, installation, service, and repair.
Responsibilities- Drive profitability and revenue within assigned accounts.
- Conduct daily sales travel to current and prospective customers to sell company equipment, product line, and services.
- Maintain quality and professional customer contact via phone, electronic communication, and face‑to‑face relationships.
- Build strong business relationships with customers, providing ongoing support, products, and services.
- Utilize technical capabilities to recommend products and services based on customer needs and interests.
- Respond promptly to customer quotations, needs, inquiries, and complaints.
- Develop and maintain thorough knowledge of Koss Industrial products and services.
- Identify leads, manage prospects, and acquire new business through prospecting and cold calling within an assigned territory.
- Maintain daily call reports, weekly work plans, and monthly/annual territory analyses.
- Attend trade shows, conferences, and training programs.
- Associate’s degree or equivalent experience.
- Business‑to‑business sales experience, preferably in the food, dairy, or processing industries.
- Proven technical and mechanical aptitude.
- Computer proficiency in Windows and Microsoft applications.
- Strong presentation, negotiation, and closing skills.
- Experience managing multiple projects, timelines, and due dates.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong phone presence.
- Previous cold‑calling experience.
- Strong problem‑solving, organization, and communication skills.
- Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
