• 6 Years of Diesel Mechanic Experience
• 6 Years of CNG Experience
• Waste Industry Experience as a Mechanic
• 4 years of relevant work experience
• A valid driver's license, with a clean driving record
• Over 18 years of age
• Legally eligible to work in the United States
• Ability to perform physical requirements of the position with or without reasonable accommodations
• Successfully complete and pass pre‑employment drug screen and physical

• Home location can be any of our shops, nearest to your home
• Hotel accommodations while traveling to other sites in the area
• 1‑week assignments can be up to 4 weeks at a site
• Assignments are based on work zones nearest to home site, but could vary
• Normal setting for this job is a repair/maintenance shop at any of our Upper Mid West locations

• Inspect, diagnose and repair electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake and air systems on a wide range of vehicles and equipment.
• Estimate time and material costs on vehicle repairs and new parts.
• Perform work within our Standard Labor Repair Times (SRTs).
• Respond to service calls for emergency breakdowns.
• Perform safety checks on vehicles – safety of every single employee and the community.
• Complete required paperwork, documenting parts usage, and accounting for repair times.
• Assist senior Mechanics in the completion of project work.
• Review, complete, or assign repairs identified on Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area in compliance with Corporate / OSHA Standards and perform all work in accordance with established safety procedures.

• Frequent lifting, pushing, pulling, crouching, climbing; constantly standing, walking, grasping; occasionally sitting and balancing.
• Exposure to cuts, burns, toxic chemicals, etc.
• Exposure to dirt, odors, noise, weather extremes; inside garage and outdoors, inclement weather, heat and humidity.
• Perform in both inside garage/shop or gas plant conditions and outside conditions.
