Wage CategoryHourly
Schedule- Full-time: 40 hours per week (Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m.
- 5:00 p.m.) - Part-time: 24–30 hours per week
- Willingness to be flexible in scheduling; workdays may start before or end after regular hours to meet customers' needs.
- Full-time: occasional on‑call responsibilities during nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Interpreting: Facilitate effective communication between the company's customers and their limited English‑proficient clients; adhere to healthcare interpreter code of ethics and company standards.
- Customer Service: Build a positive team environment and professional relationships with all internal and external customers.
- Adaptability: Use problem‑solving and critical‑thinking skills to adapt to challenges in meeting the demands of Connecting Cultures Inc. and its customers.
- Continued Professional Development: Continuously learn additional concepts, skills, and information relevant to healthcare interpreting, industry, and business knowledge independently and collaboratively.
- Administrative Duties: Complete internal duties required to support company and department tasks.
- Advanced high proficiency in language pairs as described by the ATCFL speaking proficiency guidelines.
- Demonstrated completion of the company’s proprietary interpreter training program or another qualified interpreter training program.
- Capability to meet learning objectives in a specified length of time.
- Effective time‑management, communication, flexibility, self‑management skills.
- Ability to work within a diverse environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- U.S. healthcare system.
- Broad understanding of both cultures and ability to convey cultural concepts.
- Healthcare terminology and concepts.
- Professional business etiquette.
- Stand and sit for long periods; perform within varying times of a 24‑hour period.
- Mobility to move quickly between locations/exam rooms.
- Good hand dexterity; ability to drive in all weather and traffic conditions.
- Classroom, healthcare, professional office settings; car required for geographic service area.
- Exposure to sights, smells and events associated with health care.
- Computer, software, web applications, multiline digital phone system, cell phone, mobile applications, computer audio/video equipment.
- Dependable car and valid driver’s license required.
