Equipment Operator – Green Cove
Summit Materials is seeking an Equipment Operator to work at the Green Cove plant. The role reports directly to the Plant Manager and is responsible for the safe and proper handling, loading and storage of aggregate materials, as well as general housekeeping of plant property, equipment and premises.
The daily work schedule may consist of up to 8+ hour days, with overtime on a voluntary or mandatory basis for the work week as well as on Saturdays and occasional Sundays, depending on business requirements.

- Safely and efficiently operate a front‑end loader to lift, transport, and load bulk aggregate materials.
- Perform and document daily equipment inspections of the front‑end loader.
- Perform regular preventative maintenance of the front‑end loader, including but not limited to checking and maintaining all fluid levels, tire pressure, greasing hubs and components, and keeping the loader clean.
- Operate the radial stacker conveyor to deliver required aggregate materials into appropriate storage bins or hoppers, maintaining appropriate fill levels.
- Verify by visual inspection the amount of aggregate materials stored on the plant premises and ensure that adequate supply is maintained.
- Assist with plant maintenance and service as requested, including welding and greasing plant belts.
- Monitor and report mechanical problems associated with plant equipment to the Plant Manager.
- Maintain the bulk material stockpiles.
- Ensure that mixture truck washdown area and other yard areas are kept clean and free of debris.
- Use high‑pressure water hose, clean mixer truck washout pits, and handle reclaimed washout material inventory.
- Maintain general exterior yard areas and plant premises through regular sweeping, mopping, litter and debris removal, and waste bin emptying.
- Maintain the yard in accordance with environmental regulations.
- Maintain clean and sanitary breakroom and restroom facilities, as assigned.
