Bench General Manager

Are you an experienced leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment, develops strong teams, and drives results? Sgt. Clean Car Wash is an established and growing company looking for a positive, self-disciplined, and results-driven Bench General Manager to join our team.

No previous car wash experience is necessary. We're looking for proven leadership experience, operational discipline, and a commitment to excellence.

A Bench General Manager provides additional leadership support across existing locations while preparing to lead a future location. This role allows experienced leaders to become proficient in Sgt. Clean's operations, systems, and culture before assuming full responsibility for a location, positioning them for success from day one.

• Support Operations: Provide leadership coverage across Northeast Ohio locations, support daily operations, and help maintain strong performance.
• Drive Results: Support customer satisfaction, team engagement, operational efficiency, and financial performance.
• Develop Teams: Coach team members, reinforce accountability, and build high-performing teams.
• Learn the Sgt. Clean Way: Become proficient in our systems, processes, equipment, operational standards, and culture.
• Prepare for Growth: Build the company-specific knowledge and experience needed to successfully lead a future location.

Placement into a General Manager role is based on demonstrated readiness, performance, and business needs. A specific timeline or placement is not guaranteed.

• Minimum of 2 years of management experience, preferably in retail, hospitality, or service industries.
• Proven ability to lead teams, develop talent, and manage daily operations.
• Understanding of P&L management, including labor, cost control, and revenue growth.
• Experience with recruiting, hiring, coaching, and performance management.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
• A positive, adaptable leader who takes ownership, holds high standards, and thrives under pressure.
• Ability to work across multiple locations and maintain a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.

• Total annual compensation
  : $66,000 – $74,000 (includes salary pay and profit sharing)
