At The Recovery Village Palm Beach at Baptist Health, our Registered Nurses play an essential role in providing compassionate, patient-centered care to individuals receiving treatment for substance use disorders and mental health conditions.

As an RN, you'll combine your clinical expertise with empathy and strong communication skills to support patients throughout their recovery journey. You'll work alongside a collaborative team of medical and behavioral health professionals in a treatment environment where every interaction is an opportunity to help someone take the next step toward a healthier life.

What You'll Do:

• Provide nursing assessments and routine medical care, evaluating patients' medical and psychiatric needs and coordinating timely treatment.
• Administer medications as prescribed and monitor patients throughout the detoxification process.
• Monitor vital signs, recognize changes in patient conditions, and communicate concerns promptly to the appropriate medical personnel.
• Educate patients about medications, medical conditions, and health-related concerns to support informed decisions and recovery.
• Implement provider orders and medical protocols accurately, maintaining complete and timely patient documentation.
• Collaborate with physicians, the Director of Nursing, and the interdisciplinary treatment team to incorporate medical needs into individualized treatment plans.
• Perform nursing procedures and point-of-care testing within your scope of practice and demonstrated competencies.
• Maintain a safe, respectful, and confidential environment while following infection prevention, workplace safety, and regulatory requirements.
• Build trusting relationships with patients through compassionate communication, respect for personal dignity, and a commitment to quality care.

Requirements

• Education: Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required;
  Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

• Licensure: Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state where the facility operates.
• Experience: At least two years of nursing experience preferred.
• Behavioral Health Experience: Experience in behavioral health, addiction treatment, detoxification, or psychiatric nursing preferred.
• Clinical Skills: Ability to assess patient needs, administer medications, monitor patient conditions, follow medical protocols, and respond appropriately to changes in health status.
• Technical Competencies: Ability to perform or demonstrate competency in vital signs, blood draws, EKGs, glucose testing, urine screening, pregnancy testing, specimen collection, pulse oximetry, IV insertion, and other applicable point-of-care procedures.
• Communication and Teamwork: Strong interpersonal skills, sound clinical judgment, and the ability to work collaboratively with patients, families, providers, and fellow team members.
• Professionalism: Commitment to patient confidentiality, accurate documentation, ethical nursing practice, and compliance with applicable clinical and regulatory standards.
• Adaptability: Ability to manage competing priorities, remain composed in a dynamic treatment environment, and respond effectively to changing patient needs.
• Patient Safety: Willingness to follow infection prevention procedures, use appropriate personal protective equipment, maintain a safe care environment, and complete required training and continuing education.
