Science and Systems Engineering Support role. The LEO Program is establishing JPSS and Quick Sounder (QS) Science Calibration and Validation Reference Libraries for ATMS, CrIS, OMPS and VIIRS within the NASA SharePoint facility. In addition, separate CLASS archives for these libraries and the JPSS/QS instrument pre‑launch test data are being created. This task is to provide management and engineering support of these activities.

Work will take place at the NASA Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt, MD. This position has been approved for a hybrid work schedule.

• Coordinate library and archive support activities between NOAA/NESDIS LEO Program, STAR JPSS Cal/Val Teams, and NASA JPSS/QS Flight Projects
• Coordinate between LEO Program and CLASS to obtain approvals for necessary archives containing both non‑CUI and CUI data and information, and to establish a process by which the CLASS archives are designed, created and maintained by the LEO Program.
• Provide project management support, especially schedules for all activities
• Milestone tracking
• Action item, lessons learned, and risk tracking
• Schedule, host and document monthly meetings with NOAA/NESDIS LEO Program, STAR JPSS/QS Cal/Val Team, and NASA JPSS/QS Flight Team Leads to obtain task status and develop path-forward tasks

• MS or PhD in related Scientific Field, plus > 15 years professional related experience

Salary at GST is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract‑specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $155,000 to $ (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of the GST total compensation package for employees.
