We are currently seeking an experienced and highly analytical Financial Specialist to join our winning team. The Financial Specialist follows detailed and standardized procedures in performing required Accounting and Finance operations. Performs a variety of support duties related to the Accounting and Finance departments in accordance with Educational Systems Federal Credit Union policies and procedures, as well as, compliance with all Federal, State and other regulatory agencies rules regulations.
The Financial Specialist responds to questions and/or provides information upon request from both internal and external members. Processes requests/transactions, as appropriate. The incumbent maintains a high level of confidentiality when handling member related issues.
- Associate’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business or a minimum of 4 years of similar work related experience.
- Financial institution experience preferred.
- Ability to function independently by exercising sound judgment on basic accounting principles.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment while maintaining a high degree of quality and accuracy.
- Excellent interpersonal, problem solving and analytical skills required.
- Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Professional particularly Microsoft Excel.
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to function in a financial institution environment and have intermediate computer skills, including the ability to work within and toggle between multiple applications.
- Ability to sit for long periods of time and use a computer for prolonged periods of time.
Salary: $22.24 - $27.79 per hour
