STC is seeking a Programmer Analyst I to support the ATMOS contract at NASA Goddard Space Flight Center (GSFC). This entry‑level role provides software support for scientists, assisting with coding, testing, and data processing to support Earth and atmospheric science missions. ATMOS is a NASA support services contract that provides advanced scientific, engineering, and technical expertise to enable Earth and space science missions.

The program supports research, data analysis, technology development, and mission operations across multiple NASA centers. Through ATMOS, our teams deliver innovative solutions that help advance NASA’s mission and expand scientific discovery.

• Support the development and testing of scientific software.
• Assist in processing and visualizing atmospheric science datasets.
• Collaborate with scientists to refine data acquisition routines.
• Develop scripts and small applications for workflow automation.

• Knowledge of programming languages such as FORTRAN, C/C++, Java, and/or Python.
• Familiarity with UNIX/Linux environments and shell scripting.

• B.S. in a physical science or related discipline
• High school diploma, plus four years of experience in a relevant technical position (including technical coursework or military training). This experience is in addition to the experience required for the position level.
